Enrichment Programs

At Kids Connection, we want your children to have fun. But we also want them to learn, so we offer enrichment programs in the following areas: preparing them for using the numerous forms of technology that are present throughout today's society, science instruction, karate, music and movement, and reading and stories.

COMPUTER

Preparing them for using the numerous forms of technology that are present throughout today's society. Children explore computers and tablets in a safe, guided environment. They learn to navigate screens, recognize shapes, and develop early problem-solving skills.

SCIENCE INSTRUCTION

Science can spark in kids' minds that they, too, can help solve the world's big problems. At Kids Connection, science activities are hands-on and age-appropriate. Children explore nature, experiment with simple materials, and observe changes in their environment. These experiences help them develop curiosity, critical thinking, and a sense of wonder. Science is not just a subject—it's a way of looking at the world.

KARATE

To help develop large motor skills and the gain of self-respect, self-control, self-defense, self esteem, focus, confidence, and courtesy. Children participate in karate classes that teach them how to move their bodies, follow instructions, and respect others.

MUSIC & MOVEMENT

Research shows that learning music facilitates learning other subjects and enhances skills that children inevitably use in other areas. At Kids Connection, music and movement are part of daily routines. Children sing, dance, and play instruments that match their developmental stage. These activities support language development, rhythm, and coordination. Music also helps children express emotions and build confidence in a safe and joyful setting.

READING & STORIES

Numerous studies have shown that students who are exposed to reading before preschool are more likely to do well in all facets of formal education. Children listen to stories, point to pictures, and practice letters and sounds in a quiet, cozy space.

What this looks like in practice

During enrichment time, children rotate through different activities based on their age and interests. They might play with blocks, read a book, or practice karate moves. Teachers guide them and help them stay focused on the task at hand.

Enrichment matters because it builds skills that help children in everyday life. When kids practice using technology, they learn to navigate the world around them. When they move and play, they build strength and self-control. When they read, they gain a love of stories and learning. These experiences prepare them for school and life. They also help them feel capable and ready for new challenges.
